It was confirmed that the Y type zeolite was able to be synthesized in high content by the addition of hydrochloric acid or sodium chloride at the time of crystallization. The whole molecular ratios for the purpose of the synthesis were determined as follows : SiO_2/Al_2O_3; 5-12, Na_2O/SiO_2; 0.3-0.9, H_2O/Na_2O; 30-80, NaCl/Al_2O_3; 3-18.
