culture was kept in the competence medium made with Herbst's artificial sea water containing
0.005% yeast extract, 0.025% polypepton, and Tris buffer pH 7.5 equevalent to 0.05 Mol
concentration and at 25 C. Typical minerals usually used for the growth of marine bacteria,
namely NaCl, Mg^++, and Ca^++ contributed to the process of transformation.},
