He has conducted field experiments, boarding a Bull trawler in East China Sea, made a series of model experiments in a circular tank, using a simple model net made by adding a square net to a cone-shaped drag net. He will report a few findings brought about by the analysis of data of these field and model experiments. They are summarized as follows; (1) From results of the field experiments upward force of 180-250kg is acting at the bosom of the ground rope, and it seems to be caused by the square part of trawl net. (2) The existence of lift by tha square of trawl net has been made clear.
