The\nisland has been suffering from rapid depopulation- an added problem to its small\npopulation. How has this society changed? Unfortunately there is little record of\nformal island history; its main record is not held on even in a bigger neighbouring\nisland. Therefore, we investigated the social mobility through pre-existing external\ndata and maps with on-site verif ications. We demonstrate a case of an idealistic\npreservation and display of resources in this paper: the “Resource Centre” located\nalong the corridor of the local elementary/junior high school. It displays and preserves\narchaeological resources, tools, animal stuff ing, and local literatures. This has shifted\nthe handicaps away from small island researchers of having limited resources.
