 note = {A single specimen of Lethenteron sp. S (Petromyzontiformes: Petromyzontidae) was collected from the Komenotsu River System in the Izumi region，Kagoshima Prefecture，Kyushu, Japan. The species has been not recorded from Kagoshima on the basis of specimens since 1937. The specimen from the Izumi region represents the southernmost record for the species.Description of the specimen is given and distributional implications of the species in the Izumi reglon are also discussed., 鹿児島県出水地方の米ノ津川水系からスナヤツメ南方型11同体が採集された．鹿児島県からの本種の標本に基づく記録は約70年ぶりであり，さらに本種の日本における南限記録となる．本報告では，この標本を詳細に記載し若干の地理学的考察をおこなった．},
