On the other hand, concerning More's political thought, the situation is quite different. This paper argues communalities between major points in Machiavelli and More, while illustrating respects they do not have in common. The similar points are, for instance, that both observe actual politics as they are, and think appropriate measures should be taken against them. Moreover, both believe a mixed government in the republic is best. Their differences are especially seen in superiority of morality over power in More, and the reverse in Machiavelli, though this is not unconditional.}, pages = {17--32}, title = {ルネサンス二つの代表的政治思想 : マキアヴェッリとトマス・モア}, volume = {56}, year = {} }
