This plankton (I individual mL^<-1>) was inoculated into a SDW medium of each strain at stationary phase, and the number of bacteria was counted every 3 hours for 30 hours. The total organic carbon contents (TOC, ppm) in culture media were changed from 0 to 250 ppm at a fixed temperature of 30 ℃ to observe the bacterial consumption by M. macrocopa.
