 note = {The Equatorial Current Region at 164°E was investigated from the view points of oceanography and marine biology. Distributions of suspended particles and zooplankton in the region were presented. Characteristics of the distributions were related to the existence of the Equatorial Currents such as the South Equatorial Current, the Equatorial Countercurrent and the North Equatorial Current. On the other hand, in order to know the boundary of water masses, continuous record of D. O. contents in the surface water was tried in advance, and conducted for the detection of small current rips.},
