This exchange provided the students with their first opportunity to learn about palliative care in Korea. During the exchange program, the students visited Seoul St. Mary's Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Research institute for Hospice Palliative Care at the Catholic University, and other health and medical facilities. Students learned that cultural characteristics contribute substantially to grief care in Korea. We consider that participation in this program broadened the students' perspectives and increased their motivation to study. We herein report the outline of the study tour especially hospice palliative care in Korea and what students have learned.
