kmの県土を有し，九州島の本土と多くの離島で形成されている．特に離島では，本土と比較して自然豊かであり気候にも恵まれ，様々な動植物が存在している．そのため，離島は様々な動植物において研究対象にされたりしているが，本土においては，未だに詳細な調査が行われていない．そこで，本研究では，環境の影響を受けやすいという生態的性質をもつことから，森林環境における指標動物として利用できる陸産貝類に焦点を当て，多様性や地点間の相違点を探るためにも，分布調査を行った．\n本調査は，鹿児島県枕崎市の神社や公園の自然林11 地点を対象にして陸産貝類の採集を行った．採集は，主に落ち葉の下や土壌上，樹上，朽木周辺を中心に行う見つけ取りと，微小貝を採集するために各地点の落ち葉を含む土壌を約500ml持ち帰り，同定をする上で必要な処理をし，同定後，種別に殻はチャック付きポリ袋，軟体部はエタノール中に保存した．そして，採集したデータをもとに種別，個体数のリストを作成し，各地点の多様度指数や類似度指数を求め，群平均法を用いてデンドログラムを作成した．\n11 地点における調査の結果，計7 科12 属14 種，412 個体の陸産貝類を採集した．11 地点のうち，最も多くの種数が採集されたのは瀬戸公園の7 種類であった．最も種数が少なかったのは，妙見神社と片平山公園の3 種類であった．個体数においては，最も多く採集されたのは，枕崎神社の73個体であった．最も個体数が少なかったのは，津留神社の7 個体であった．\n本調査において，11 地点中9 地点で採集されたヤマクルマガイと11 地点中7 地点で採集されたアズキガイが枕崎市内の陸産貝類の優占種といえる．\n本調査では，神社や公園の自然林を中心に行い，個体数や種数が多かった地点は，鬱蒼と茂った林内ではなく，人が手を加えた，全体的に明るく湿度の保たれた照葉樹林の林縁であった．\n多様度指数と類似度指数においては，林内の森林環境や土壌環境によって値が異なっていた．また，2
