The first is that producers came in pursuit of delicacy of manual works. The second is that consumers who are living with a computer and mass-produced industrial products cannot imagine manufacturing process by manual works. It is thought that the method to continue traditional craft industry is to reduce production scale, or to present individuality of craftsmen.\nThe delicacy of Oshima-tsumugi excels others. But consumers are not going to buy Oshima-tsumugi because it is not able to be distinguished from mass-produced industrial products. Information asymmetry of Oshima-tsumugi market is large, so that means being market failure on Oshima-tsumugi and Oshima-tsumugi's dilemma.\nTo solve the problem of Oshima-tsumugi market fundamentally, it is necessary for a third-party organization to provide not only information to draw the understanding of consumers but fair price.
