In this study, we analyzed the reports of 9 students from nursing practice in islands conducted as part of this training program qualitatively and inductively,　categorized them based on the similarity of meaning, and made the islands a field. We examined the usefulness of the training. As a result, students [disadvantages of conditions in health care and welfare on remote islands] [understanding and respect for the lives of objects that cannot be measured by their own existing knowledge and experience] [importance of cooperation and collaboration supported by the entire region] Gender] [Importance of “relationship with the patient as a human being”][Importance of the viewpoint of “taking the object as a consumer”] [Importance of support that accompanies the object’s “living”] [Identity as a nurse] Rethinking] was learning.
