The species has previously been recorded from Aomori Prefecture, the Ogasawara Islands, the Sea of Japan coast of Yamaguchi Prefecture, the Pacific coast from the Boso Peninsula to Yaku-shima island, Uwa Sea, and the Ryukyu Islands.
