It took almost 15 years to found it. In this paper, I would like to discuss about the factors why it took such a long time for Yoron people to establish the crematory. First, I will describe the outline of the process of establishing the crematory, and then analyze the negative discourses of the people to it. Their discourses were comprised of anxiety that daily life could be threatened by centralization of negative extraordinariness by death. Secondly, to clarify more about it, I will compare two funeral processions of interment and cremation. Thirdly, I will analyze the requests for the crematory and point out some measures for protecting daily life of vicinal people of the crematory. Besides, I will show how the opponent's discourses could be placed on the official discussion by seeing the town council meeting minutes. Finally, I would like to point out that the crematory contains both cultural and political aspects, but it is a difficult place for both domains to be communicated. To establish the crematory as NIMBY, a discussion based on multiple standards of value such as indigenous cultural norms would be needed.}, pages = {169--189}, title = {火葬場はなぜ忌避されたのか? : 鹿児島県与論島における火葬場成立の事例から}, volume = {8}, year = {} }
