We analyzed the light and electric stimuli / responses of a pumpkin. The optical method was used to measure the fluorescence of chlorophyll. It was found that the time-course of fluorescence change, i.e.,\nfluorescence induction phenomena, were affected by water stress. The electric responses, where electric stimulus induced action potential in stem, disappeared by water stress.
