This paper analyzes pottery with woven prints excavated from two sites, Miyanosako and\nTanakabori, and reconstructs the shape of the woven items using a replication method, then measures the\nsection forms, surface forms, widths and thicknesses. As a result, five kinds of woven materials were\nidentified, with square section forms being in the highest proportion and with differences found between vertical and horizontal materials. Furthermore, the material form is related to the weaving technique.\nComparing the two sites, the material thickness and section form are different despite the same weaving\ntechnique having been used. Lastly, three possibilities for the background to the differences in material forms\nand weaving techniques are put forward based on this analysis.
