For this, the article shows the three cases of Koshuku Church fair, Bon festival, and the shinto shrine and Tenrikyo in the village, and discusses about the situation of Koshuku village from the two viewpoints, that is, the region viewed from the church and the church viewed from the region. I then point out that the church has already lost the position as “a public facility for the regional society”. Followers are also facing the regional society not as a follower but an individual with\ntheir own views. On the one hand, the church viewed from the regional society is tending to become a part of everyday scenery in the village. Thus, a church as a part of “culture” in the region has changed into a part of scenery (“nature”). This is not what is called “a sift from nature to culture” but a retrogression, and thus, Koshuku church has been flaked off from the Koshuku region.
