The venues of bullfighting games are mainly those peripheral areas such as remote islands, remote country districts, and rural farming villages. However those areas are active in the exchange of men, bulls and information, and even go further to organize 'All Japan Bullfight Summit'. This fact tells us that these areas cannot simply be understood by the binary opppositional scheme of 'center-periphery', but rather show the possibility of the existence of a new social relation which fits in a time of globalism. Furthermore, the network that is formed among the venues of bullfighting can be characterized as 'periphery-periphery' network. Previously, peripheral areas had always been taken as subservient to the center. This article depicts rather a different picture in which the peripheral areas are active with each other by forming bullfight network. Furthermore the formation of this 'periphery-periphery' network could mean not only to be a mirror to reflect the degree of the progress in globalization but also to be an another entrance to globalism.}, pages = {53--72}, title = {東アジアにおける闘牛と「周辺-周辺」ネットワークの形成}, volume = {27}, year = {2007}, yomi = {クワハラ, スエオ and オザキ, タカヒロ and ニシムラ, アキラ} }
