 note = {Dec. '52～Jan. '53, the authors investigated schools in Lake lKEDA by means of the horizontal fish-finder. The essential points in results got are as follows : a) In the lake, a great deal of fish have bred unexpectedly, and it appears that the catches in the last few years have not reached to l0% of the stock. b) It was possible to find out many schools horizontally, and then, through
the effective volume in which schools occupied, the stock was estimated at more
than one million. C) All of schools, distributed in various depth, ascend to a certain extent respectively as the water-temperature descends. At midnight, some of schools ascend to water-surface and spread thinly. The velocity of horizontal movement
of school is more than 120m per hour.
d) As a by-play, an llnkown bank which seems to be the site of the old crater was found out.},
