Cutting down the trees over a long time results in a shortage of Sharinbai resources. For the effective use of the precious tree, Sharinbai, it is very important to investigate the extraction phenomena which are used to obtain the dye products from Sharinbai. In the present study, foudamental experiments of Sharinbai extraction using distilled water or alkaline aqueous solutions have been carried out under various temperatures. Extraction efficiency increased linearly with increasing temperature. The extractive amount at 100°C was 1.5 time of that at 40°C. Hydrogen ion concentration (pH) greatly affected the extration equilibrium of tannin from Sharinbai. A linear relation between the extractive amount and pH was observed. Amounts extracted with NaOH and Na_2CO_3 aqueous solutions were, respectively, around 4 and 6 times as large as those extracted with distilled water. Extraction rates from the surface of a cylindrical wood sample of Sharinbai were measured to determine the diffusion coefficient of tannin in the Sharinbai wood at 100°C. The value obtained was about 10^{-7} cm^2/s, which seems comparatively large.}, pages = {75--80}, title = {シャリンバイ(Raphyolepis Umbellata)からの染液抽出に関する研究(I)}, volume = {31}, year = {1989} }
