The first chapter looks at Jane Eyre and Imperial colonial policy. In Jane Eyre, people live in two important cities of the triangular trade of the empire having a great influence on the life of the heroine. The subject of this chapter is the relationship between the description in the novel and the real life of people. Next, the second chapter deals with the feeling of the British for foreign people. Through the description of foreign women, the virtue of Jane clearly comes to light. The social condition of Imperialism makes them appear as a foil to the English heroine. Finally in the third chapter, the view of marriage in the middle class is the subject matter. The social phenomenon \"Odd Women\" casts light on the history of the time. Because of the fact, marriage without the joy of love is not so unusual.
