The study was conducted at the Takakuma Experimental Forest of Kagoshima University. A sixyear old sugi (Cryptomeria japonica) stand was divided into plots of low, medium, and high density (1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 trees/ha, respectively). Three individual weeders carried GPS devices while working. At the same time, we observed and documented the time required for weeding. We compared the time recorded by the GPS with that from actual observation. The weeding time recorded by the GPS was 0.5-4.6% less than that recorded by observation. This was attributed to a later starting time for weeding using the GPS. Weeding with the GPS ended before the observed operations. We found the feasibility of using GPS logger for measurement of the operational efficiency of weeding because the GPS was accurate for measuring the efficiency of the weeding operations.}, pages = {9--14}, title = {GPSを用いた下刈り功程調査}, volume = {39}, year = {2012}, yomi = {キンジョウ, トモユキ and テラオカ, ユキオ and アシハラ, セイイチ and イノクラ, ヨウジ and ウラ, メグミ} }
