When PTMP (1000 ppm) was added in the residue, a slight amount thermal cracking was observed, but no deposition of coke on the reactor wall was observed. On the other hand, the addition of ferric naphthate (100 ppm) significantly increased the amount of decomposition of the residue. However, a large amount of coke was deposited on the reactor wall. When PTMP and ferric naphthate were added simultaneously to the residue, the decomposed oil included a substantial amount of light oil fraction; however, the coke deposited on the reactor wall was less than when ferric naphthate was added alone. These results indicate that PTMP plays an important role to terminating the recombination of hydrocarbon radicals, produced by thermal decomposition of the residue accelerated by addition of ferric naphthate. Thus, the simultaneous addition of PTMP and ferric naphthate will make it possible for the petroleum industry to convert atmospheric residue to light oil without additional investment for facilities and without additional cost for operations.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Other"},{"subitem_description":"流通式反応器を使用して,微量の有機硫黄化合物あるいは金属塩を添加した常圧残さ油の熱分解反応を480℃で行い、軽質化およびコーク生成に及ぼす添加物の影響について検討した。ここで有機硫黄化合物としては,末端に4個のチオール基を有する3-Pentaerithritoltetrakis-3- merCaptOPrOPionate(PTMP)を用いた。また,金属塩としては鉄,ニッケル,バナジウムのナフテン酸塩を使用した。PTMPを添加すると,わずかに軽質化が促進されたが,その濃度を変化させても軽質化の程度には差が見られなかった。一方,鉄を添加すると,軽質化は促進されたが,同時にコーク生成が著しく促進され・反応管の閉そくが起こった。そこで,PTMP(1000ppm)とナフテン酸鉄(100ppm)を同時に添加すると,コークによる反応管の閉そくなしに大幅な軽質化が観察された0これは,熱分解で生成した炭化水素ラジカルをチオール基が捕そくして,再結合を妨げていることによると考えられる。
