Blood glucose was the highest at 2 hours after feeding. Lactate concentration in\nthe eel blood after feeding increased slowly and pyruvate concentration was the highest at one hour.\nThe ratio of lactate to pyruvate in the eel blood was 35 to 130, which was much higher than that in rat\nblood. Every amino acids except histidine, tryptophan, glutamate, and aspartate increased\nremarkably after feeding.
