The present paper deals with the food value of marine yeast in Artemia and Daphnia culture. The test organisms were fed on several kinds of marine yeast, being cultivated under fixed condition. The food value was determined by the growth and survival rate of the test organisms. The ecological and physiological characters of the test organisms were studied too. The results obtained were as follows; 1. Some of test marine yeasts were found to have good quality as food of Artemia and Daphnia, and their effect was exhibited to be comparable with the effect of phytoplankton to Daphnia culture. 2. The survival rates of Artemia at the copulation time ranged from 10 to 80% according to the species of marine yeast used as food. 3. Vitamins, pantothenic acid and folic acid added in culture medium, were effective on the growth of Artemia. 4.
