ユ幼虫が生息する水系への殺虫剤の定期的な投入が青年会に作業を委託するという方法
で行われている。報告者はブユ駆除作業の指導とその評価をボランティアとして続けて
きている。２０１０年５月に鹿児島大学水産学部の南星丸による調査地が悪天候のため出航
後に三島村の黒島に変更されたことは、ブユ対策の評価を抜き打で行う機会となった。
現地調査では、井之口川の横で飛来するアシマダラブユ成虫を採集することができ、ま
た大里港のすぐ上の宮向川ではアシマダラブユの幼虫と蛹を採集することができた。担
当者からの聞き取りにより、学校の先生の定期異動の影響で４月以降は殺虫剤の投入が
行われていないことが判明し、この時期のブユ対策の検討が必要であることが判明した。, In Kuro Island, Mishima Village, Kagoshima Prefecture, biting by the
blackfly (Simulium japonicum) is severe. Therefore, insecticide is applied regularly to
rivers a control the measure. To evaluate the effect of insecticide, a survey of blackfly
was carried out on Kuro Island. The adults were collected near the Inokuchi River,
and larvae and pupae were also collected in the Miyakou River. It turned out by the
interview that the insecticide had not been applied to rivers since April.},
