The results obtained were arranged in the\ntables.\nThe following results were obtained by analysing the muscles and entrails\nof Shark with the estimation of the variation of the composition different in\nspecies and seasons.\n1) In Hammerhead, total nitrogen in the muscle, stomach and bowels amounts\nto more than 16% of dry matter. Seasonal variation in components is unperceived,\nexcept in fat content. Liver contains great amount of fat and it\nincreases gradually from spring to winter.\n2) In Aburazame, fat is more abundant than in Hammerhead as a whole.\nThe muscles of Aburazame contains more than 34% of fat; and the liver, more\nthan 91% of dry matter, and it shows maximum content early in April.\nVitamin A content in the liver of Shark was determined by colorimetric\nmethod. The results obtained were as follows.\n1) In Hammerhead liver oil, vitamin A content, lies between 27 to 499\nC.L.O.U. and shows maximum content in summer. Content of vitamin A and\nof fat in the liver varies inversely.\n2) Aburazame liver oil containes 5.0-40.2 C.L.O.U. of vitamin A and seasonal variation is unnoticeable.
