Recently, in 1960, another species P. stipitata Tanaka et K. Nozawa was newly reported by the writers, adding one species to this group. As for genus Zonaria, except Z. coriacea Yamada reported by Yamada from Formosa in 1925, Zonaria diesingiana J. Ag. has been the only species known in the Japanese Islands.
