Their localities and habitats were reported in detail. Main locality names are as follows; Kibaha, Ifakara, Kyela, Ihahi, Mbarari, Shelui, Dodoma, Nzega, Kahama, Kigoma, Ujiji, Uvinza, Kasulu, Ibada, Mwanza, Mtwango, Kilombero, Bumbwi, Kasole, Kibirinzi, Ole. They have\na creeping growth in pond, swamp, embankment, irrigation canal and small stream.\nFrom the analyses of unhusked grains, average values and the standard deviations\nof O.longistaminata in the whole strains were found to be 8.70mm±0.41, 2.34mm±0.17, 1.63mm±0.07, 3.77±0.24, 5.37±0.24 and 1.44±0.07 in length, width, thickness,\nratios of length to width, of length to thickness and of width to thickness, respectively.\nIn O.punctata, average values and those standard deviations in the whole strains were\nfound to be 5.96mm±0.25, 2.29mm±0.11, 1.51mm±0.05, 2.62±0.15, 3.96±0.20 and\n1.52±0.07 in the same order, respectively. It may be noticeable that the populations of\nW51, collected in Mahutansa, Ifakara, and W69, collected in Ibada, showed very large\nvalues both in length and width.
