The average weight of the\ntestes and the ovaries collected in summer was found to be slightly heavier than those\ncollected in winter. The maximum weight was recorded on the oocyte collected in summer.\nAlthough direct evidence of the natural reproductive period of Nautilus belauensis\nin Palau is still lacking, it appears likely that natural spawning of this species occurs\nbefore, during, and after the summer
