They prefer clear, nutrition depleted water as can be found in the surroundings of coral reefs.\nTwo main factors acting as single gradients regulate the distributions of larger\nforaminifers within coral reef complexes. All living larger Foraminifera house symbiotic microalgae and are thus restricted to the photic zone (down to 150m), getting\nindependence from food resources outside the cell in various degrees. Differences in\nwater movement, mostly correlated with substrate type, and light availability are managed in various ways. Test constructions in combination with attachment mechanisms of the protoplasm combat strong water movement, while light penetration is handled by test\nultrastructure. Larger foraminifers inhabiting intertidal and extremely shallow subtidal environments block high irradiation by thicker tests or porcelaineous structures, making\nthe walls impenetrable. In contrast, species living near the base of the photic zone facilitate light penetration by thin transparent test walls facilitating light penetration and by\ndeveloping light-collecting mechanisms such as nodes and pillars. Water turbulence, often\nextreme in coral reef environments, is handled in different ways, but tests are restricted to a few paradigmatic forms. Similar tests were developed in various phylogenetic lines at\ndifferent climatic climaxes during earth history starting from the Late Paleozoic\n(325,000,000 years ago). This can be interpreted as analogous developments in handling the main environmental gradients light penetration and water energy.","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_7_publisher_23":{"attribute_name":"公開者・出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"鹿児島大学"}]},"item_7_relation_32":{"attribute_name":"関連(relation)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16920"}]},{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16921"}]},{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16922"}]},{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16924"}]},{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16925"}]},{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16926"}]},{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16927"}]},{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16928"}]}]},"item_7_relation_33":{"attribute_name":"関連(isVersionOf)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_type":"isVersionOf","subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16919","subitem_relation_type_select":"URI"}}]},"item_7_source_id_7":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"13450441","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_7_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"NII書誌ID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN1013531X","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_7_subject_15":{"attribute_name":"NDC","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"457","subitem_subject_scheme":"NDC"}]},"item_7_text_24":{"attribute_name":"公開者よみ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"カゴシマ ダイガク"}]},"item_7_text_25":{"attribute_name":"公開者別名","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"Kagoshima University"}]},"item_7_text_44":{"attribute_name":"備考","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"標題紙: http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16919, ポスター: http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16920, はじめに: http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16921, 本文: http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16922, http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16924, http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16925, http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16926, http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16927, http://hdl.handle.net/10232/16928"}]},"item_7_version_type_14":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"HOHENEGGER, Johann"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2016-10-28"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"AN1013531X_v32_p19-45.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"10.2 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"AN1013531X_v32_p19-45.pdf","url":"https://ir.kagoshima-u.ac.jp/record/8318/files/AN1013531X_v32_p19-45.pdf"},"version_id":"1d9a031c-ffe8-4494-9bb6-9077aff21e3b"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Larger Foraminifera : Microscopical Greenhouses Indicating Shallow-Water Tropical and Subtropical Environments in the Present and Past","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Larger Foraminifera : Microscopical Greenhouses Indicating Shallow-Water Tropical and Subtropical Environments in the Present and Past"}]},"item_type_id":"7","owner":"3","path":["77","5552"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2013-04-16"},"publish_date":"2013-04-16","publish_status":"0","recid":"8318","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Larger Foraminifera : Microscopical Greenhouses Indicating Shallow-Water Tropical and Subtropical Environments in the Present and Past"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":3},"updated":"2024-02-26T00:28:17.644639+00:00"}
