Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy revealed a large trichobezoar in the\nstomach. The trichobezoar was tenaciously wedged, making it difficult to remove endoscopically. Thus, laparotomy was performed\nby inserting a wound retractor through the skin and into the gastric wall. The trichobezoar was intracorporally cut into small pieces,\nwhich were separately removed.
