| 内容記述 | 米国のルーラルナーシングは，人口密度の低い地域に対する専門的な看護師によるヘルスケアの供給として発達し，学部での教育も行われている。米国のルーラルナーシングにおいて重要視されている項目やスキルを明らかにすることを目的として，学部教育で用いられている教科書の内容分析を行った。その結果，看護を受ける対象についての記述が多く，医療システムから漏れてしまうリスクの高いマイノリティについての理解に重点が置かれていることが明らかとなった。ルーラルでは，孤立と匿名性の問題や，狭いコミュニティで活動する看護師ならではの国を超えた共通の課題がある。ルーラルナースにはマイノリティの特徴を理解し，彼らを医療に繋ぎ止め健康を支援することのできる高い能力が求められる。また，テクノロジーに対する知識や技術，および多職種を含めたネットワークを作り上げる能力が重要となることが示唆された。 | |||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | “Rural nursing” in the United States is developing as a way of using specialist nurses to provide healthcare in low population density areas, and is also being taught in undergraduate nursing education. PURPOSE/METHODS: In order to better understand what topics or skills are regarded as important for rural nursing in the United States, we conducted a content analysis of textbooks used in undergraduate education. RESULTS: The results revealed that there were many descriptions of the recipients of nursing care, and that emphasis was placed on understanding minorities, who are at high risk of falling through the cracks in the healthcare system. The problems of isolation and anonymity, and the challenges of practicing in a small community are common to nurses in rural areas regardless of the country. CONCLUSION: Rural nurses need to have an understanding of the unique characteristics of minorities, and be highly skilled at keeping them connected to the healthcare system and supporting their health. In addition, our findings indicate that it is essential for them to have the knowledge and skills for using technology, as well as the ability to create a network that includes professionals from multiple disciplines. | |||||||||||||||||
