内容記述 | In order to determine the mechanics involved in the maintenance of water quality in a feedback culture system, several relevant physical and biological parameters were monitored both in the rearing water for zooplankton and in a phytoplankton culture tank. Moina macrocopa was cultured for 53 days adapting feedback culture method. They were fed with Chlorella sp. previously acclimatized to freshwater. During the first 33 days, feedback culture system which involves recycling of rearing water after culturing Chlorella sp. was adapted. The routine method which does not involve recycling of water was applied during the last 20 days. NH_4-N, NO_2-N, NO_3-N and PO_4-P concentrations were determined in the culture water. PO_4-P, dissolved organic P and particle P content were likewise measured in Chlorella sp. culture water for five days after inoculation. In the M.macrocopa culture tank, NH_4-N and PO_4-P concentrations were maintained at the levels of about 1,600 and 54 μg-at・l^<-1>, respectively. However, in the routine treatment, NH_4-N tended to increase up to 3,000 μg-at・l^<-1> and PO_4-P up to 90 μg-at・l^<-1>. In Chlorella sp. culture tank, concentration of dissolved P decreased about 11 μg-at・l^<-1> from 65 to 54 μg-at・l^<-1>, following an increase of Chlorella sp. density. However, particle P content increased about 9 μg-at・l^<-1> from 4.5 to 13 μg-at・l^<-1>. Thus a negative relationship (r=-0.90) was observed between Chlorella sp. density and dissolved inorganic and organic P while a positive relationship (r=+0.90) was shown between Chlorella sp. density and particle P. Basing on the results obtained, it can be concluded that water was purified by bio-filtration with Chlorella sp. adapting the feedback culture method. |
