"　戦後の高校工業教育は、時代の要請に応えながら種々の課題に取り組んできた。その流れの中で最も大きな試練は、1978（昭和53）年の高等学校学習指導要領の改訂において、工業科の目標がそれまでの「中堅技術者に必要な知識と技術」から「基礎的・基本的な知識と技術」の習得へと大きく転換されたことである。その転換の象徴として原則履修科目「工業基礎」の新設がある。本論文では、実習内容調査の一環として「工業基礎」「工業技術基礎」について指導要領改訂毎に、その実施形態、指導形態、実施単位数、指導内容、使用テキスト等を追跡してきた結果を纏め、その変遷と課題について検討する。検討の結果、次の４点が示唆された。①工業基礎は中学校での技術に関する学習の不足を補う上で重要であること。②当初の工業基礎の理念が、検定済教科書の発行により徐々に後退していること。③学習内容は各学科の基礎実習に重心を移していること。④②③は学校現場による各学科の専門性を保障するための自助努力であること。これらの結果から、各学校の独自性を発揮するためには、次期指導要領では工業技術基礎を原則履修科目から基礎科目として位置づけ、その採否を学校現場に委ねることが必要であることを指摘した。",
