| 内容記述 | 鹿児島大学は、2017年度より地域人材育成のための学部横断型「地域人材育成プラットフォーム」の運用を行っている。本研究の目的は、このうち特に「かごしま地域リサーチ・プログラム」に着目してその理念と現状について述べたうえで、地域と連携した探究活動を行う教育プログラムを運営する際に生じる課題とその解決に向けた展望を明らかにすることにある。 「かごしま地域リサーチ・プログラム」の目的は、地域の「歴史」「伝統文化」「自然環境」等の特性と課題について多様な視点から理解を深め、自身が暮らす地域の発展に寄与する能力の育成を図ることである。地域資源や地域課題を教材として、学際的・多角的に探究する力の育成を目指す。地域課題の発見・探究については、昨今我が国の高等教育において地域を冠する学部の設置が相次いだことからも明らかなように、関心が高まっている学習活動及び育成すべき能力の１つとして位置づけられている。「かごしま地域リサーチ・プログラム」もそのような流れの中に位置づけられる一方、適切な方法論に基づく探究方法の修得を重視しているという点で違いも見られる。 「かごしま地域リサーチ・プログラム」は2019年度に全ての構成科目が開講され、最初の修了生を輩出する。本稿ではその中でも特に、「かごしま地域リサーチ・プログラム」受講の意思表明の機能を持ったスタートアップ科目である「地域リサーチ・スタートアップ」と、プログラムの中核を担うコア科目である「地域リサーチ・トライアル」に注目し、その現状と課題を指摘したい。 「地域リサーチ・スタートアップ」は、地域課題の発見・探究を柱として運営されてきた、文字通り「かごしま地域リサーチ・プログラム」のスタートアップ科目である初年次後期配当科目である。この科目は、学生の地域への関心を高めると同時に、地域課題に対する探究方法修得にも一定の貢献を果たしてきたといえる。しかし、その一方、「かごしま地域リサーチ・プログラム」のカリキュラム全体における科目の位置づけからすると、学習事項の多さと目標の水準が高すぎる懸念があった。具体的には、必ずしも県内出身ではなく地域課題に対する知識も不十分なうえ、まだ自身が専門としようとしている分野の学問的方法論もほとんど身に付けていない初年次の学生にとって、自ら地域課題を発見、探究するのは困難ではないかと考えられた。この課題を踏まえ、2019年度には授業計画を改めた。 「地域リサーチ・トライアル」は、「かごしま地域リサーチ・プログラム」を最も特徴付ける科目の1つである。プログラム科目の中でもコア科目として位置づけられ、実際にフィールドにて調査活動を行うことを授業内容としている。2019年度に新規開講されたコア科目が「地域リサーチ・トライアル」であり、大島紬産業の復興をテーマに掲げ、奄美大島にてヒアリング調査、実地調査を中心にリサーチ活動を実施した。 いずれの科目においても、明確な授業テーマを授業担当教員から提示し、受講生はその方向性にしたがってリサーチ活動を行う点が特徴であると言える。 |

It can be said that this subject has contributed to the acquisition of research methods for regional issues. “Regional Research Trial” is the core subject of the“ Kagoshima Regional Research Program” and is one of the subjects that characterize the program most. The content of the class is to actually conduct research activities in the field. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the issues and perspectives of the“ Kagoshima Regional Research Program” by verifying the 2 subjects above. |
