Methods: Igaku Chuo Zasshi (web version, ver.5) was used to conduct a search using the key words “stillbirth” and “mothers”. As a result, 11 articles were chosen and analyzed. Results: The analysis yielded 9 categories. Among these 9 categories were: [Mothers‘ consolation and regret from keeping their child’s memorabilia items]; [Talking about mothers’ thoughts helps them accept the feeling as a natural] and [The gratitude and the happiness toward nurses for treating their children as human beings]. These findings suggested that first, memorabilia items play a very important role in integrating a deceased child into a mother’s life rather than making it a thing of the past.
