| 内容記述 | Four specimens (two ovigerous females and two adult males) of Ceratothoa oxyrrhynchaena Koelbel, 1878 were collected from the buccal cavity of two adult blackthroat seaperch, Doederleinia berycoides (Hilgendorf, 1879), reared in a tank at the Fisheries Research Institute, Toyama Prefectural Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Research Center, Namerikawa, central Japan in June 2013. Each fish harbored a male-female pair of C. oxyrrhynchaena. The infected fish were caught at 150–180 m deep in Toyama Bay off Iwase, Toyama Prefecture, in May 2013 and transported alive to the institute for reproduction, thus, it is very likely that the isopods were brought into the tank along with those fish. It is necessary to remove parasites including C. oxyrrhynchaena from wild-caught fish before releasing the fish into rearing tanks. | |||||
