| 内容記述 | Elementary school English education in Japan has recently entered its third decade. This paper aims to analyse Japanese-language literature related to the first two decades in terms of the objectives of the research papers, their methods, their results and the challenges they name, to identify commonalities and differences between them, and thus to make the findings easily accessible to a non-Japanese audience. 68 Japanese-language studies of elementary school English education are grouped into three categories by the stage of implementation they address. After analysing each stage, conclusions are drawn regarding their key characteristics, the successes of each period as well as the recurring challenges that are mentioned throughout. | |||||

| 内容記述 | 日本の小学校英語教育は近年、第３の節目を迎えた。本稿では、最初の20年間に関連する日本語文献を、研究論文の目的、方法、結果、そして挙げられた課題の観点から分析し、それらの共通点と相違点を明らかにすることで、海外の研究者にも利用しやすいようにすることを目的とする。そのため、小学校英語教育に関する68の日本語研究を、英語教育導入段階別に３つのカテゴリーに分類した。各導入段階に関する論文を分析し、その主要な特徴、各時期の成功例、そして繰り返し言及される課題に関して考察を行った。 | |||||
