| 内容記述 | An underwater photograph of Iracundus signifer Jordan and Evermann, 1903 (Scorpaenidae) was taken at a depth of 32 m off Izu-oshima island, Izu Islands, Japan, on 14 Jan. 2021. The species, widely distributed in the Indo-Pacific Ocean from South Africa to Polynesia, has been recorded only from Iriomote-jima island, Yaeyama Islands, southern Ryukyu Islands in Japanese waters. Therefore, the Izu-oshima individual represents the first Japanese record from outside Iriomote-jima island and the northernmost record for the species. | |||||||||||||
