| 内容記述 | This study focuses on communication between streamers and viewers in live streaming, exploring how participants share a virtual space and build intimate relationships despite the technical constraint of asymmetrical physical information. Using live streaming for sales activities as a case study, the research examines the construction of shared virtual space from three perspectives: the streamer, the viewer, and the streaming platform. Specifically, the study highlights the relationship between the streamer’s bodily orientation (speech, gaze, and body movements) and the monitors installed on the streaming site. Streamers treat monitors as extensions of the viewers’ presence, emphasizing the shared screen experience to perform themselves as co-present in the same virtual space. On the other hand, viewers actively participate as listeners by compensating for the lack of physical cues through the comment function, thereby displaying “listener behavior” (Ueno, 2012) despite being visually absent. Additionally, the streaming platform itself supports the sense of shared space through technological features such as the comment function, virtual gifting, and reaction tools. For instance, comments sent by viewers function as “one-time-only voices” that only those present in the live stream can experience, reinforcing the shared sense of space. Furthermore, viewers’ use of virtual gifting and reaction functions allows them to simulate physical interaction with the streamer, fostering a sense of proximity. In conclusion, the study reveals that the streamer, viewers, and platform collaboratively generate a sense of shared virtual space, enabling the formation of intimate communication unique to live streaming. |

| 内容記述 | 本研究は，ライブ配信における配信者と視聴者のコミュニケーションに焦点を当て，参与者間の身体的情報の非対称性という技術的な制約がある中で，参与者がどのようにヴァーチャル空間を共有し，親密な関係を構築しているかを考察した。販売活動に特化したライブ配信を例に，配信者・視聴者・配信プラットフォームの3 つの側面からヴァーチャル空間の共有感の構築を検討した。 具体的には，配信者の身体配置（発話・視線・体の動き）と配信側の現場に設置されているモニターの関係に注目してみた。配信者はモニターを視聴者の存在の一部と想定し，視聴者と同じ画面を共有していることを前景化することによって，視聴者と同じヴァーチャル空間を共有する存在として演出している。一方，視聴者はコメント機能を通じて身体的情報の欠如によって目視で確認できない「聞き手行動」（植野, 2012）を補い，聞き手としての積極的な参与を示していることが確認された。さらに，配信プラットフォーム自体もコメント機能やヴァーチャルギフト機能，リアクション機能を提供することで，場の共有感を技術的に支えていると考えられる。例えば，視聴者が送ったコメントは，今その場にいる者だけが共有できる「一回限りの声」として，場の共有を強く志向している。また，視聴者がヴァーチャルギフト機能やリアクション機能を通じて，配信者の「身体」に疑似的に接触するなど，配信者との近接性の構築の仕方が確認された。このように，ライブ配信の場において，配信者・視聴者・プラットフォームの3 者が協同してヴァーチャル空間の共有感を生み出し，ライブ配信特有の親密なコミュニケーションが実現されていることが明らかになった。 |
