| 内容記述 | Four specimens of the Round Sardinella Sardinell aurita Valenciennes, 1847 (Clupeiformes: Clupeidae) were collected from off Kamogawa City, eastern coast of Boso Peninsula, Chiba Prefecture, Japan in Nov. 2021. Because the easternmost limit of the distributional range of the species in Japanese waters has been considered as Tokyo Bay, the present specimens represent the easternmost records of the species. Based on specimen-examinations, the species is likely to have rarely appeared in Japanese waters in 1900’s to 2000’s. | |||||
