| 内容記述 | In December 2021, a single immature specimen (109.2 mm standard length) of Acanthopagrus taiwanensis Iwatsuki and Carpenter, 2006 was collected from Asato River, Okinawa-jima island, Ryukyu Archipelago, Japan. This species has previously been recorded only from Taiwan and Japan. However, the Japanese record of the species was based on a single adult specimen collected from the Satsuma Peninsula, Kagoshima, Japan. Therefore, the present specimen represents the first record of Acanthopagrus taiwanensis from Okinawa-jima Island, as well as the first immature specimen record of the species from outside Taiwanese waters. | |||||
