| 内容記述 | Furuhashi and Motomura (2025) described Synodus lautus as a new species, previously identified as S. usitatus, from Japan, and redescribed S. usitatus from the Hawaiian Islands. They also proposed “Haregi-eso” as a new standard Japanese name for S. lautus and adupted “Ushi-eso” as standard Japanese name for S. usitatus. The detailed reasons and grounds for this allotment however were not given in Furuhashi and Motomura (2025) which are provided in this report. | |||||||||||||
