| 内容記述 | A single specimen (55.3 mm standard length) of Festucalex gibbsi Dawson, 1977, distributed in the western Pacific Ocean, was collected from Tanega-shima island, Osumi Islands, Japan. In Japanese waters, F. gibbsi has previously been recorded only from Okino-shima island, Kochi Prefecture, Shikoku. Thus, the specimen, described here in detail, represents the first record of F. gibbsi from the Osumi Islands as well as the second Japanese record of the species. | |||||||||||||
