| 内容記述 | In September 2025, 10 fish species, Ambassis buruensis Bleeker, 1856, Ambassis interrupta Bleeker, 1853, and Ambassis miops Günther, 1871 (Ambassidae), Epibulus insidiator (Pallas, 1770) (Labridae), Amblygobius esakiae (Herre, 1939), Amblygobius sp. A sensu Suzuki et al. (2004), Favonigobius sp. A sensu Momose (2024), Mangarinus waterousi (Herre, 1943), Trypauchenopsis limicola (Smith, 1964), and Gobiidae, indet. gen. and sp. 10 sensu Suzuki (2004) (Gobiidae) were collected from coastal and inland waters of the Miyako Islands (Okinawa Prefecture), southern Ryukyu Archipelago, southwestern Japan. Among them, Amba. buruensis, Amba. interrupta, Ambl. esakiae, F. sp. A, and M. waterousi were newly recorded from the Miyako Islands. In addition, specimens of Amba. miops, E. insidiator, and T. limicola represent the first specimen-based records from the islands. Moreover, Ambl. sp. A from Shimoji Island and Gobiidae, indet. gen. and sp. 10 from Irabu Island represent the first records from the respective island. A detailed description of Ambl. esakiae from Shimoji Island, representing the second Japanese specimen-based record, is also provided herein. | |||||
