| 内容記述 | 幕末期薩摩藩は日本初の洋式高炉を構築した。南部藩が続いた。その事実を実証するため、鹿児島の当該地域を発掘調査して、高炉に関わる遺構・遺物を発見・収集し、評価を行った。その結果、高炉構築位置が特定された。武雄鍋島家資料『薩州鹿児島見取絵図』に描かれた位置と一致した。鉄試料の分析から製鉄していたことが確認された。南部藩の大橋高炉と薩摩藩の高炉の共通の問題点を水車や耐火煉瓦を中心に分析した。両地域間の技術の交流と在来土着技術が有効に使われたことも判明した。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In the last years of the Tokugawa shogunate, the Satsuma Clan constructed the first Western-style Blast furnace in Japan. The Nambu Clan followed behind. To verify this fact, we excavated the area in Kagoshima three times. The discovered Structural Remains and excavated Relics concerned the Blast Furnace, have been estimated. The position of the Furnace has identified, and it has agreed with the location in the Sassyukagoshimamitoriezu. The iron samples have shown that smelting took place on this place. The common problems of Oohashi Blast Furnace and Satsuma Furnace were analyzed concerning water mill and firebrick. It has been ascertained that the exchange of technical information between Satsuma and Nambu was done and conventional techniques were used effectively. | |||||
