| 内容記述 | The measurements of the local-attraction on the sea surrounding the volcanic islet of Sakurashima were carried out chiefly in August, 1963 and in the same month of the next year, and the following items were ascertained. (1) Polarity was found to be quite antagonistic ; in the northern side of Sakurashima it being ‘Westerly’, while in the southern side of the same islet it being ‘Easterly’. (2) The maximum value obtained in the measuring was4.2° in the north side, and 3.8° in the south side, respectively ; the observational error was assumed to be ±0.2°. (3) The ‘local-attraction’ was assumed to be owing its origin to the residual thermo magnetism of the lava issued at the volcanic eruption of the islet Sakurashima ; almost whole of the islet is supposed to be in possession of blue (-) polarity. (4) The assumption of the existence of the ’local-attraction’ may be justified by the correlationship confirmed between the measured attraction and the ‘local-attraction’. | |||||
