| 内容記述 | Mountain villages in Japan have been supported by small-scale agriculture and forestry. Many inhabitants make up farming households, who also engage in forest management. Though there are many such households in mountain areas today, and their situation cannot be grasped from present government statistics. Moreover, there has been little research conducted into mountain villages and farmers-cum-foresters. In rural studies, hamlets have been considered as united groups, but as depopulation advances on mountain areas, this function of the hamlet is being increasingly lost. In this paper, for mountain village analysis today, the necessity to understand the conditions of small-scale farming-cum-forestry forest households which cannot be grasped in statistics is advocated, and the method for analyzing small-scale hamlets which cannot be grasped from group analysis is examined. To conduct this survey, approaching individual inhabitants is indispensable. In order to verify a framework, it will be necessary to carry out continuous fieldwork in the future. | |||||
