| 内容記述 | The vitamin B contents of a diatom, Chaeroceros simplex OSTENFELD var. calcitrans PAULSEN, as the diet for the larvae of marine animals have been measured by a microbiological method (Table 3). The vitamin B contents of Chaetoceros simplex were ascertained to be rich generally. In comparison with Chlorella, the one having the highest vitamin contents in algae, it was found that the contents of thiamine, riboflavin, nicotinic acid and folic acid in Chaeroceros were lower than in Chlorella, but vitamin B_6 and vitamin B_12 were equal to those in Chlorella, and pantothenic acid and biotin were higher than those in Chlorella. From these results, it was concluded that Chaeroceros simplex is a superior vitamin source as the diet for the larvae of marine animals. | |||||
